The Team in Burundi
MFO maintains a full-time local team in Burundi dedicated to building, restoring, and maintaining clean-water access for rural communities.
Our work includes:
- Drilling deep-water wells, spring wells, and solar wells
- Repairing broken wells — not only our own, but any well in need, regardless of who built it
- Providing all well repairs at no cost to the community or to the original non-profit group that drilled the well
- Teaching hygiene and sanitation to help families stay healthy long after the water begins to flow
- Each project is community-driven, locally maintained, and built for long-term sustainability — creating jobs and empowering Burundians to care for their own future.
